01

Tell me about yourself.

Use a 60-second Present–Past–Future answer: your current role and one achievement, the experience that led you here, and why this job is the logical next step.
02

Why do you want to join our company?

Mention one specific thing about the company (product, growth, values), connect it to your skills, and say what you hope to contribute in the first year.
03

What are your salary expectations?

Give a researched range based on role and city (check Salary Insights), say you are flexible for the right role, and ask about the full compensation structure.
04

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Show ambition that fits the company: deeper expertise, leading a small team or owning a larger area — not a different career entirely.
05

Describe a time you handled a difficult customer.

Use STAR: the Situation, your Task, the Actions you took (listen, empathise, solve), and the Result with a number — e.g. the customer renewed.
06

Tell me about a mistake you made at work.

Pick a real but recoverable mistake, own it without blaming others, explain the fix and the process you changed so it does not repeat.
07

How do you manage tight deadlines?

Explain how you break work down, prioritise by impact, communicate early if timelines are at risk, and give a short example.
08

What is the difference between an array and a linked list?

Arrays store elements contiguously with O(1) index access but costly inserts; linked lists use nodes with pointers, giving O(1) inserts at known positions but O(n) access.
09

Explain REST and its main HTTP methods.

REST exposes resources over HTTP: GET reads, POST creates, PUT/PATCH updates, DELETE removes. It is stateless and uses status codes like 200, 201, 404 and 500.
10

What is normalisation in databases?

Organising tables to reduce redundancy: 1NF removes repeating groups, 2NF removes partial dependency, 3NF removes transitive dependency between non-key columns.
11

A train 240 m long passes a pole in 12 seconds. What is its speed?

Speed = 240 ÷ 12 = 20 m/s. Convert to km/h by multiplying by 18/5: 20 × 3.6 = 72 km/h.
12

If 6 people finish a job in 10 days, how long will 4 people take?

Total work = 6 × 10 = 60 person-days. With 4 people: 60 ÷ 4 = 15 days.
13

What is 15% of 840 plus 25% of 360?

15% of 840 = 126 and 25% of 360 = 90, so the total is 216.
14

What is the difference between GST input and output tax?

Output tax is GST you collect on sales; input tax is GST you paid on purchases. You pay the government output tax minus eligible input tax credit.
15

Explain working capital.

Working capital = current assets − current liabilities. It shows whether a business can meet short-term obligations; too low signals cash stress.
